Almost everyone in the backstage holding bay
lives in the US of A.
I make a mental note-joke that
Mike and I are likely the only ones Made in Canada~
I listen in as the artists speak
about their intention to BUY US~
One artist says his Dad is Buddhist
and his Buddhist Dad wanted to buy a fan
that was not Made in China
Apparently, his Buddhist Dad
couldn’t find one anywhere~
I was a little Confucius Confused
but understood the point
Right then,
another artist from the US of A
walks in
and the conversation stops
dead in its tracks
At this point
I was Double Confucius Confused
and my only deduction
could be
that they were uncertain
if they were being
racist or not
And all I could think
was, strange
because it was only
when they stopped talking
that they became
racist.
