Calgary is the Place

– Judy Eng-Hum

Calgary is the place
Attracting many to join the rat race
They were one of those who came
Attracted by those on the gravy train
It was a time of growth insane
For those who chose their career lane
The city had a lot to offer
For those to fill their bank coffer
It was a time to enjoy the boom
And it all went by like a zoom
Now it is 2019 and Calgary has doubled in size
And time has connected friends and family ties
As they look back for the best of their times
They must confess it was the mad climb
As a new grad it was their chance to learn
Have fun, experience and earn
There was the madness of high rents
Friends to be made at many events
From Electric Avenue to now the Red Mile
It was all part of the action and lifestyle
After many years, Calgary has become their home
A place where no one needs to be alone
A big Yahoo welcome is given to all
Calgary is a place to stand tall
It was the place that gave them a name
They made their fortune and gained fame
A best place in the world to live
It has so much to offer and give
Enjoy it as you please
It will give you a tease
And you will want to stay
For it is a great place to work and play
So, listen to the Calgary call
It welcomes one and all.
